History of Legaleze Graphics Co., Inc.

Legaleze a small business concern was born a decade ago in 1993. The result of requests from the investigative sector of the Broward County Sheriffs Office where upon completion of his studies at University of Florida, founder Baron Philipson served as a highly decorated Deputy until his retirement after a decade of service in 1998. Co-founder Robert Philipson a gifted programmer and Silver Knight honoree, upon graduating from the University of South Carolina brought his talents to bear in creating an integrated firm providing large demonstrative aides, in-trial litigation support as well as document imaging to both the legal and commercial markets. Joining the firm in 1995, Alan Philipson a Florida State University graduate worked diligently to create a relationship with the government utilizing his now many of years of service to both the legal and commercial community, Alan s focus is on growing the firms multi-disciplines.

Since its inception, Legaleze has grown from a small office ran from home to a state of the art 25,000 sq. ft. main facility in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and has expanded to similar facilities in Atlanta Georgia, Las Vegas, Nevada and opening soon in Philadelphia appropriately the birthplace of the constitution. Legaleze rose to prominence in early 1996 with their assistance to the various States Attorney General s in their prosecution of the large tobacco companies. The states assisted by Legaleze included Florida, Mississippi and finally the State of Washington in 1998 which ended in a national settlement the largest in American Judicial history. Legal-eze with their Docpoint imaging department has served the U.S. Attorneys Office on numerous large document population cases as well as such companies as Siemens, Westinghouse, Exxon and numerous other fortune 500 companies.

Document Conversion Business History:

In 1995, while imaging was in its infancy, Legaleze was commissioned by a large law firm to complete a one million three hundred thousand page document conversion project. Once completed, Legaleze was asked to act as systems integrator with tasks that included building IBM workstations configured to complete the specific task of parsing this immense database as well as installed the entire network hubs, routers and switches. Displaying the utmost competence in their completion of this task, Legal-eze moved to a 25,000 square foot facility to support the numerous jobs which would later be extended to the government including the U.S. Attorneys Office, FBI, U.S. Department of Justice and Immigration and Naturalization services.
