History of Legaleze Graphics Co., Inc.
Legaleze a small business concern was born a decade ago in 1993. The result of requests from the investigative sector of the Broward County Sheriffs Office where upon completion of his studies at University of Florida, founder Baron Philipson served as a highly decorated Deputy until his retirement after a decade of service in 1998. Co-founder Robert Philipson a gifted programmer and Silver Knight honoree, upon graduating from the University of South Carolina brought his talents to bear in creating an integrated firm providing large demonstrative aides, in-trial litigation support as well as document imaging to both the legal and commercial markets. Joining the firm in 1995, Alan Philipson a Florida State University graduate worked diligently to create a relationship with the government utilizing his now many of years of service to both the legal and commercial community, Alan s focus is on growing the firms multi-disciplines.
Since its inception, Legaleze has grown from a small office ran from home to a state of the art 25,000 sq. ft. main facility in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and has expanded to similar facilities in Atlanta Georgia, Las Vegas, Nevada and opening soon in Philadelphia appropriately the birthplace of the constitution. Legaleze rose to prominence in early 1996 with their assistance to the various States Attorney General s in their prosecution of the large tobacco companies. The states assisted by Legaleze included Florida, Mississippi and finally the State of Washington in 1998 which ended in a national settlement the largest in American Judicial history. Legal-eze with their Docpoint imaging department has served the U.S. Attorneys Office on numerous large document population cases as well as such companies as Siemens, Westinghouse, Exxon and numerous other fortune 500 companies.
Document Conversion Business History:
In 1995, while imaging was in its infancy, Legaleze was commissioned by a large law firm to complete a one million three hundred thousand page document conversion project. Once completed, Legaleze was asked to act as systems integrator with tasks that included building IBM workstations configured to complete the specific task of parsing this immense database as well as installed the entire network hubs, routers and switches. Displaying the utmost competence in their completion of this task, Legal-eze moved to a 25,000 square foot facility to support the numerous jobs which would later be extended to the government including the U.S. Attorneys Office, FBI, U.S. Department of Justice and Immigration and Naturalization services.

4. Geographic Coverage
The 48 contiguous States, District of Columbia, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto
Rico. In addition, Legaleze will deliver documents and media to port of embarkation for overseas locations.
5. Point of Production:
All of the aforementioned work offered by Legaleze is done in the facility of closest geographic reference or the facility that is at the lowest capacity whichever better serves the clients interest. Our facilities are located in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, Atlanta, GA, Philadelphia, PN and Las Vegas, Nevada.
6-7. Discounts
Prices herein reflect discounts to the Government. Additional discounts are earned as follows:
1. Volume discount orders over 1,000,000 documents will receive a 2% discount
2. Customer loyalty discount of 1% will be applied on the second order received from the same customer discounts can be used concurrently for example if the order is over 1,000,000 pages and it is a returning customer, they would be entitled to a 3% discount.

11a. Time of Delivery
The variables which include size, and scope also dictate the turnaround that
can be expected for each order. Since there are multiple variables, delivery dates will be negotiated with each order.
11b. Expedited Delivery
Expedited delivery is available. The delivery time is predicated on size and complexity of the individual job.
11c. Overnight and 2-day delivery
Overnight and 2-day delivery is available.
11d. Urgent Requirements:
When the Federal Supply Schedule contract delivery period does not meet the bona fide urgent delivery requirements of an ordering agency, agencies are encouraged, if time permits, to contact the contractor for the purpose of obtaining accelerated delivery, The contractor shall reply to the inquiry within 3 workdays after receipt, (Telephonic replies shall be confirmed by the contractor in writing). If the contractor offers an accelerated delivery time acceptable to the ordering agency, any order(s) placed pursuant to the agreed upon accelerated delivery time frame shall be delivered within the shortened delivery time and in accordance with all other terms and conditions of the contract. Any video taped conversion done under this SIN which contains errors in formatting or accuracy levels may be returned to Legaleze Graphics Co, Inc. within 90 days of delivery.

Document conversion consists of scanning document images and converting them into electronic digital data, which is then transferred into a new format, and media for use in a document imaging, retrieval, and storage system (see chart below for a breakdown of imaging vs. the traditional searching methods). The types of DCS may include, but is not limited to:

ONE PRICE IMAGING AND CODING
Legal-eze is pleased to offer the one price imaging solution which reduces questions regarding project costs.
Scan/OCR/Code. These prices are based on two (2) to ten (10) box document imaging jobs based on 2,500 pages per box. The cost per page for document preparation, imaging (scanning), objective coding, raw OCRing is $.32 per page based on an average document length of three pages or more. For document averages less than 3 pages the cost per page is $.37 per page. Coding fields can be alternated This cost includes a load file for most standard database systems including Summation, Concordance, Access, SQL, or any other system that allows the importation of delimited text fields. Average turnaround time is 5 - 10 boxes per week. If required on a rush basis an additional rush charge may be assessed.

Scan and PDF with OCR. These prices are based on two (2) to ten (10) box document imaging jobs based on 2,500 pages per box. The cost per page for document preparation, imaging (scanning), raw OCRing, and creation of the PDF file is $.19 per page.
Document Blowbacks. These prices are based on a minimum quantity of 5,000 pages and include printing of the documents with slip sheet indicators for page breaks. The cost per page is $.08 per page.

51-508 Litigation Support Services
Litigation Support Services encompasses a wide range of services that aid attorneys and other professional staff members in the task of obtaining, organizing, analyzing and presenting evidence or materials for trials, judgments, lawsuits, settlements or other legal matters. Through the use of reproduction equipment, computer data processing, image management, geographical information systems and other technologies, litigation materials are effectively organized to enable rapid location by an agency s staff. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment and supplies for the performance of litigation support services (LSS).
(NOTE: Paralegal services, attorneys, accountants, or other professional labor categories that may be construed as legal services or professional support for legal services are not included and will not be procured under this SIN.)
